Job Description
• Calculating landed cost of goods
• Verifying importation and customs
• Transferring prior payment of clearance costs to service providers accounts
• Updating HS codes categories according to central bank of Iran’s strategy
• Monitoring receiving importation permissions prior arrival of goods and obtaining clearance permission to guarantee on time clearance
• Providing weekly delivery list to factory warehouse team to be prepared for offloading
• Conducting regular evaluation on service providers performance to ensure having proper qualification in place, when managing importation and customs clearance process
• Communicating and collaborating regularly and consistently with the authorities to foresee future challenges as well as address day to day issues to protect company interest.
• Consulting with customs agents to ease passage of shipments through customs.
• Checking and updating the tariff codes and customs duty of imported goods.
• Monitoring and sharing relevant import laws and procedures, licensees and restrictions with the stakeholders.
• Exploring taxes, duties exemption opportunities to reduce/avoid cost of operation
• Minimizing the clearance lead time and managing to make them sustainable and ensure efficiency and product availability
• Lead, empower and engage the team to meet the function’s targets.
• Sourcing, choosing and negotiating for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, delivery and services with suppliers.
• Being able to perform all foreign commercial process such as correspondence, negotiation, ordering and documentation.
