Job Description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated Tableau developer to join our BI team. The Tableau developer will focus on creating compelling dashboards and visualizations based on data from our Oracle-based data warehouse. This role involves collaborating closely with ETL developers, business stakeholders, and other team members to ensure that data insights align with business goals and empower data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business stakeholders to gather reporting and visualization requirements.
• Develop dynamic and interactive dashboards in Tableau that provide actionable insights based on business needs.
• Collaborate with ETL developers to understand the structure and logic of data marts and ensure proper data integration for Tableau visualizations.
• Design, test, and publish Tableau workbooks and dashboards to production environments.
• Troubleshoot performance issues in Tableau workbooks, optimizing data sources and dashboard load times.
• Develop documentation, including user guides and technical specifications for Tableau dashboards.
• Train business users on Tableau features and ensure self-service capabilities for ad-hoc reporting.
• Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure the accuracy and reliability of dashboards and reports.

Key Professional Competencies:

• Advanced proficiency in Tableau Desktop, including dashboard creation, calculated fields, and advanced visualizations.
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and data mart design.
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
• Expertise in designing intuitive and visually appealing dashboards.
• Strong grasp of user experience (UX) principles to ensure dashboards meet business user needs.
• Ability to communicate effectively with business users, ETL developers, and team leads to understand requirements.
• Comfortable working as part of a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality BI solutions.
• Ability to troubleshoot performance issues in dashboards and data sources.
