Job Description

The Senior BCM Specialist for developing, implementing, and supervising Dana Energy’s Business Continuity Management programs and ensuring that the program is implemented, monitored, and maintained across the entire organization, on an ongoing basis to consistently minimize business continuity risk within the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and supervise BCM policy.
  • Develop, implement, supervise, and maintain of Business Continuity Management programme.
  • Raise the level of BCM awareness and training within Dana Energy by ensuring participation in induction training and refresher courses.
  • Plan and organize the Management Review of BCM at periodic intervals and follow up for the implementation of preventive, corrective, and continual improvement actions identified during the Management Review.
  • Plan and organize internal audits of BCM at periodic intervals either by internal auditors or external agencies.
  • Ensure that the BCM program is exercised as per the defined plans and schedules.
  • Providing assistance to the business with test plan development, execution, and assessment of the test results.
  • Regularly liaise with the different business unit functions to assist with executing risk assessments and business impact analysis.
  • Drive the review or rework of Risk Assessments and Business Impact Analysis.
  • Assess reported incidents that have impacted or may have affected Dana Energy’s ability to recover, ensuring incidents are tracked and closed with proper action and relevant BCM documentation updated as per revision policy with the lessons learned.
  • Participate in driving the user awareness programs on business continuity and emergency response/evacuation drills.
  • Conduct regular research into BCM best practices and industry trends.
  • Monitor, action, and closure of actions on the BCM Risk Register.
  • Report on the progress of business continuity risks and the status of BCM implementation and capability as per Dana Energy’s reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in implementing business continuity management, disaster recovery, and crisis management plans (a strong background in the Oil and Gas industry is an added advantage).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in BCM and Crisis Management Frameworks and Standards (strong knowledge of standards and processes to manage business continuity risk and crisis).
  • Proficiency in Business Processes (Core Business functions knowledge).
  • Familiarity with the implementation and processes of projects in the Oil and Gas value chain.
  • Fluent (technical writing and verbal communication) in English.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
