Job Description

Major Tasks & Responsibilities of This Position:

  • Create new beverage formulation and process with all the lab tests and applications, and ensure R&D projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Collaborate in a cross-functional team to prioritize and execute new product development from ideation and concept phases through commercialization.
  • Active cooperation in the problem-solving internal team.
  • Train employees in beverage know-how and develop their innovative thinking and team collaboration in technical aspects.
  • Generate cost-saving opportunities such as the use of alternative raw materials, product reformulation, product re-engineering, product shelf-life extension, and process improvements.
  • Identify and incorporate consumer and food technology trends into innovative products, expanded processing capabilities, and business-building opportunities.
  • Cooperate in analyzing current processes and operations to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
  • Work closely with various departments, including operations, QC, supply chain, and marketing, to foster a culture of innovation and renovation.

Requirements:

Educational Background:

  • At least a Master's degree in Food Science and Technology, Food Engineering, or related fields.

Experience:

  • At least 8 years of experience in a related field.
  • A proven track record of assisting or managing in the R&D department.

Skills:

  • Strong technical background, excellent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Having leadership skills to inspire and guide teams towards achieving R&D goals, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, research, and recommended solutions for technical concerns, including formula/product structural changes, ingredient replacements, label or manufacturing requirements, and product quality.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and best practices, especially know-how in beverage formulation and process.
