Quality Team lead

Job Description

We are looking for a quality team lead for our plant in Takestan.

The job holder is responsible for coordinating and supervising all activities in the quality laboratory to ensure that an exceptional quality product is delivered to the customer. Ensure that the production process output is in compliance with customer expectations. Responsible for assisting the QA/QC Manager with quality-related topics.

Main Tasks:

• Lead and mentor the QA team to uphold quality standards, ensuring consistency
• Oversee quality control systems, including inspections, testing, and documentation, to ensure compliance with GMP, ISO 9001:2015, and FSSC22000 V 06, and customer specifications.
• Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to optimize processes, reduce defects, and enhance operational efficiency.
• Conduct internal audits, inspections, and root cause analysis to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and R&D teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain accurate documentation (SOPs, batch records, test reports) for regulatory compliance and customer audits.
• Monitor raw material quality, in-process checks, and finished product testing to ensure consistency.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Polymer, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in quality, at least 3 years of supervisory experience (working in the plastic packaging industry is an advantage).
• Strong knowledge of Quality standards (ISO, GMP, FSSC).
• Good command of English is a must, both written and verbal.
• Competent in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze data, prepare reports, and drive process improvements.
