
Job Description
• The role's scope varies by country, number of warehouses, transport providers, re-packers, customer projects, team size, and budget.
• Decision-making impacts marketplace success, UL's credibility, product quality, and brand equity, managing operational risk and ensuring safety standards.
• Address quality issues, including rejections and complaints, and implement waste reduction strategies.
• Prepare and communicate reports on logistics and manufacturing quality issues with regular improvement plans.
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and support ISO 9001 standards.
• Conduct quality audits of outsourced manufacturers and warehouses, monitoring corrective actions.
• Investigate consumer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive measures.
• Drive continuous improvement and promote Quality Excellence across departments.
• Monitor product quality data, leading initiatives based on KPI trends.
• Support quality improvement projects using data analysis and workshops.
• Act as a liaison for customer feedback and care line management.
• Define quality standards for packaging to meet customer and global requirements.
• Assist in resolving procurement issues with promotional material suppliers.
• Conduct marketplace product assessments, analyze data, and activate improvement projects.
• Integrate quality requirements into Perfect Store initiatives.
• Spend time in the market to understand customer processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Provide support during audits and inspections, partnering with Regulatory Affairs and Legal.
• Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements in third-party re-packers, assemblers, and logistics operations.
• Communicate and verify local regulations across warehouses, logistics, and manufacturing sites.
• Maintain compliance with UL Quality Management Standards through communication, assessments, KPI monitoring, and oversight.
• Validate third-party capabilities to meet UL Quality requirements through technical assessments.
• Lead quality initiatives and define requirements for promotional products and packs.
• Collaborate with Product Groups to improve import/export processes and ensure local product registration.
• Prepare quality documents for inter-company cross-border imports and monitor the quality of shipments.
• Provide input for cluster VIP projects and conduct risk assessments.
• Perform shelf audits for innovations and promotions, and resolve quality issues in the cluster.
• Report marketplace non-conformances and support incident management for quality issues.
• Oversee quality management of imported products.
Requirements:
• A university degree in a technical discipline or general sciences.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain Quality.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and GMP standards.
• Proven experience in Auditing.
• Experience in Logistics or Customer Service.
• Fluency in English.
