About the Job:

The Veterinary Technical responsible is responsible for providing specialized veterinary oversight of the health and hygiene of raw milk, the sanitary and quality status of contracted dairy farms, the technical and hygienic conditions of milk transportation from farms to the factory, and the processes of production and processing of dairy products, ensuring full compliance with the regulations of the National Veterinary Organization, national standards, and food safety principles.

Using expertise in milk hygiene, food microbiology, and animal diseases, the Veterinary Technical Supervisor is required to:

• Ensure the Food safety and compliance of incoming raw milk with applicable standards by conducting physicochemical and microbiological testing, as well as sensory evaluation.
• Prevent microbial, chemical, and physical contamination at all stages of milking, storage, transport, and reception of milk.
• Oversee the implementation of GVP, GMP, GHP, SSOP, and HACCP principles.
• Safeguard consumer health and ensure the quality of the final product.

This role is defined with the purpose of enhancing production quality, preventing health hazards, and ensuring the necessary conditions for the safe domestic distribution and export of dairy products.

Responsibilities:

1. Providing technical information about dairy farms and identifying opportunities for quantitative and qualitative improvement to the Commercial & Procurement (C&P) team for supplier introduction, validation, and final selection.
2. Continuous monitoring and validation of raw milk suppliers in accordance with company standards and the requirements of the Veterinary Organization.
3. Monitoring, follow up, and risk assessment of changes in the physicochemical and microbiological quality parameters of raw milk for each supplier.
4. Daily communication of non conformities and food safety risks to suppliers (based on laboratory test results rather than clinical observations) and ensuring that farm managers implement the required preventive and control actions.
5. Conducting periodic on site visits to farms, reporting hazards and non conforming quality observations, reviewing GVP/GHP/GAF compliance, and providing corrective recommendations to farm managers when necessary.
6. Verifying the veterinary quarantine certificates for raw milk shipments sent from farms and registering the unloading confirmation in the national quarantine system of the Veterinary Organization.
7. Supervising milk transport tankers to ensure milk safety, hygienic practices, and proper cold chain maintenance during transportation.
8. Conducting initial physicochemical testing of raw milk upon reception, detecting possible adulteration, and approving acceptance after verification (in coordination with the Quality Manager).
9. Maintaining continuous communication with responsible veterinarians at farms and regional veterinary networks to assess the health of raw milk producing animals, monitor zoonotic diseases such as brucellosis and tuberculosis, control contamination sources, and identify food safety risks from farm level through delivery to the factory.
10. Verifying the validity of the official hygienic transport license for raw milk transport vehicles issued by the Veterinary Organization.
11. Supervising the external hygiene and cleanliness of raw milk transport tankers to ensure compliance with sanitary requirements.
12. Monitoring the condition of tanker gaskets and manhole covers, ensuring the proper functioning of CIP equipment (including rotating or static spray balls), and verifying the proper sealing of shipments.
13. Supervising sampling and initial testing procedures to determine the acceptance or rejection of raw milk.

Requirements:

- Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in the dairy industry with direct oversight of dairy farm operations.

Experience and Knowledge:

- Comprehensive knowledge of food safety hazard analysis principles at the farm level, along with proven experience in collaborating with government agencies related to food—particularly the Veterinary Organization and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
