Job Description

● To influence other NWG areas or departments within Network Planning, ensuring that all entities are aligned with the necessary plans. The different departments consider PS core planning needs when they compile their programs. ● To interface with Marketing to address customer requirements and align with service delivery requirements to perform PS core-related planning for these services/requirements and ensure these shall be met for the service delivery. ● To stay in touch with evolving technologies and different vendors' roadmaps to know what functionality and features the vendors are working on and how they can be implemented in our network or add value to our customer's experience. ● To drill down the root cause of the NWG PS core-related problems and collaborate with related teams to resolve them. ● To manage the design and implementation of the new-generation MBB Core Network on Network Function Virtualization and Cloud architecture to support the business objectives of MTNIrancell. ● To manage the design and implementation CloudEdge Solutions such as Cloud Packet Core, Cloud MSE, and Cloud SCEF. ● To manage the design and implementation of a service-orientated core (SOC) as a part of the core network evolution. ● To design and build an IoT core network that complies with the Internet of Things wave of development. ● To support Enterprise Business in proposing and designing new enterprise solutions. ● To manage core GPRS, 3G, and new virtualized packet core Networks to support the NWG KPI. ● To ensure Packet Core network performance and capacity and its value impacts in relation to financial outcomes (Specially Opex and Capex). ● To evaluate PS core KPI and manage achieving related core network KPI and quality that has a direct relation to customer loyalty and qualitative perception of MTNIrancell network. ● To review, propose and tune current MBB core network planning design and perform necessary investigation for preventing core network design faults. ● To manage the design and implementation of the auxiliary node infrastructure for all PS core networks like PCRF, PCEF, etc. ● To manage the design and implementation of the auxiliary networks that surround the core networks, such as routers, switches, etc. ● To support RFP/RFQ participation, creations, and vendor evaluations for equipment and solution delivery. ● To ensure optimal usage of the existing network elements during cloudification and service-oriented core migration. ● To manage the selection, testing, and software updating of end users' terminals. ● To promote knowledge sharing and motivate internal teams to extend their capabilities in planning. ● To manage co-planning, integration, and support of new packet technologies.

Requirements

● Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Management, Information Technology, and other related fields. ● At least 5 years of experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising or managing others. ● Experience working in a medium to large organization. ● More than two years of experience in UNIX, and Sun Solaris. ● At least 4 to 5 years of experience in packet core and EPC technologies. ● At least 2 years of experience in the IP domain.
