BAT PARS IS LOOKING FOR adding a talented person to the Direct Material Sourcing function.
FUNCTION: Procurement
LOCATION: Eshtehard

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES:

Develop and monitor the implementation of procurement plans for the sourcing of Raw and Pack Materials in BAT. Ensure flexibility of supplies, appropriate quality, and complexity reduction at the best total cost.

To drive and facilitate “source to contract” for direct materials (Raw and Pack) including negotiations and supplier selection. This includes the resolution of any contract-related issues and may include one-off spend items.
To provide information on negotiation results (all specs/grades, clear duration, validity for orders or deliveries) in a timely manner to the decision-makers where appropriate.
To ensure SLAs (Service Level Agreements) have been agreed upon with the relevant business owner/supplier.
To apply the agreed policies, standards, and platforms.
To capture and report on compliance using the agreed compliance platform and escalate through policies.
To provide forecasts on prices and market changes as input to Business where appropriate.

Requirements

Thorough knowledge of the supply market, supplier capabilities, competitor activity, and expected trends at local and foreign levels.
Proven capability of applying supplier management techniques to ensure contracted benefits are delivered.
Supplier and contract management experience.
Detailed understanding of financial evaluation and interpretation of supplier’s records and their key cost and business drivers.
Proficient in supplier assessment processes that are used to develop supplier improvement plans to enhance and sustain the direct procurement processes.
Full understanding of the category total cost model, cost drivers, and all factors needed to ensure a robust agreement for BAT (including specification and testing requirements).
Understanding of the processes, timelines, and constraints for the development and delivery of new products.
Sound knowledge of corporate regulations and legislation to ensure the creation of effective contracts.
Experience in sourcing at local and foreign levels for a period of 5 years minimum including negotiation and contracts placement.

Good influencing and facilitation skills to act as the interface between operation and procurement balancing the optimum delivery of customer requirements.

Qualifications:

University degree level education or equivalent.
CIPS corporate diploma in purchasing and/or membership of the Chartered Institute for Purchasing and supply or equivalent country qualification or membership would be an advantage.
