POSITION SUMMARY:

The "pharmacy channel executive " will be solely handling pharmacies in a specific area and responsible for the availability, forecast accuracy, business development, and ethical detailing of infant nutrition products as well as developing long-term engagement plans with those pharmacies in full compliance with the WHO Code/Nestlé instructions, as well as national laws and regulations. This role is also responsible for the execution of point-of-sales material and merchandising.

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

  • Advocacy: to build advocacy with pharmacists and pharmacy staff through ethical and effective detailing of infant nutrition products, strengthen the relationship by understanding their needs and challenges by providing tailor-made solutions while differentiating our value offers from a competitor
  • Business Development and Strategy Building: Develop and manage close and long-term effective business relationships with sales, and distributors through frequent visits and building yearly territory strategy/plan and execute it via using all available marketing and commercial tools at the customer level. Seek, identify, and use effectively new sales/marketing opportunities in their assigned territory.
  • Forecast Accuracy: Being responsible for monthly sales forecast/accuracy in assigned territory through frequent analysis of market demand, adequate and right distribution/coverage, and customer/stakeholder management.
  • Availability: Monitor product availability, ensure sufficient inventory of popular products and manage inventory of slow-moving products, develop contingency plans to mitigate any distribution, and coordinate with sales teams to ensure that the right product is available at the right place, at the right time with the right freshness and channel of supply to meet customer demand.
  • Territory Management: Create a plan that outlines business objectives, target customers, and field operations strategies for the territory, segment their territory into manageable areas based on customer profile, geographic location, or business potential, and create a schedule or itinerary to ensure effective and efficient territory coverage.
  • Assist distributor team by proposing relevant commercial deals based on pharmacy profile.
  • Execution: Implementing channel-specific marketing strategies and plans for assigned territories and retail, and rolling out impactful in-store activities in collaboration with marketing, sales, and distributor teams.
  • Market intelligence: Monitor, collect, understand, and share information and data about the infant nutrition market, Nestle and competitors' products (in compliance with antitrust law), healthcare professionals and institutions, pharmacy landscape, distributors, and retail to identify distribution gaps in and support business making a decision.
  • Provide regular reports based on monthly objectives and required actions. monthly progress reports with insights for PDM, Field Operations, and Marketing.
  • Ensure efficient communication with internal/external stakeholders (marketing, sales, and distributors).
  • Ensure full compliance of executed activities with local and WHO codes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Pharmaceutical Science, Medicine, Nutrition, or Biology.
  • At least 2 years of experience in sales or marketing in the pharmaceutical field.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent Interpersonal skills.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to build engagement and commitment (via influencing).
  • Basic computer skills.
