Overall role & responsibility:
Responsible for the overall HR, accounting, reporting and credit control operations. Additionally overall responsible for the partnership with PPS as well as general corporate development activities in Iran. Will in due time be legal responsible for the branch and have signatory authority
Team: 2 Direct reports (of assistant and driver).
Will have support from UAE branch (regulatory, marketing, customer service, finance) as well as Chr. Hansen Headquarters in Denmark and external advisors in Iran
Responsibilities and tasks:
General Management
• implementing and maintaining procedures/office administrative systems
• Managing office (reception, suppliers, IT etc.)
• Responsible for the management of the Company in accordance with all local legislation incl. corporate law, labor law, financial law, tax law, environmental law
• Ensure that permits and approvals are in place in for operating in Iran (in collaboration with regulatory)
• Corporate development activities as may be necessary
• Overall legal responsibility for Iranian branch with signatory authority as defined by the board
Business and Management support
• Report monthly financial results or as needed/requested
• Assist in the preparation of yearly budget procedures and report
• Drive adequate cost saving initiatives and ensure adequate cost follow up
• Responsible for achieving Accounts Receivables and Payables target as set by Group Finance.
• Ensure adequate risk coverage of insurance for the assets and other specific risks agreed to be covered in coordination with Group Treasury
Financial Compliance and Reporting
• Work closely with finance team in Turkey and liaise with local financial advisors
• Prepare annual company financial statements, and collaborate with local auditors; supporting the completion of the financial audits within designated time frames to accomplish a clean audit report.
• Ensure proper internal checks and controls in the accounting process and other internal procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure accurate monthly MIS & financial statements with analysis and monthly generation of balance sheets and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance of all local statutory requirements.
• Support local logistics and distribution partner to ensure that all accounts are well controlled and that all outstanding balance from customers is collected
HR Management
• Develop local HR procedures in collaboration with global HR and Country Manager
• Manage HR functions and payroll
• Controlling employees’ files and maintaining updated records of staff
• Monitoring and revising employee training and professional development programs planning/execution
Traveling up to 15-20 days per year may be required for this position
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Education and Experience: M.Sc. or B.Sc. in business/finance/accounting with minimum 8 years of experience.
• Ability to read, write and speak English as well as Farsi is a requirement of this position.
• Proven management experience a requirement
• Personal skills: Analytical, structured, high energetic with can do attitude, team player
