As a network engineer at TAPSI, You’re responsible for all aspects of IT services infrastructure. This individual would join an existing team of talented engineers who aim to provide IT services to a rapidly growing organization. This team member would provide day-to-day support, proactive maintenance and make improvements to managed systems. Attention to detail and a certain degree of creativity and latitude are required.
Tasks in Detail:
Design, configuration, support, and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers.
Maintain the internally hosted and cloud-based servers, analyze, and optimize on-premises and cloud workloads.
Identify and troubleshoot server performance issues using server administration tools and utilities.
Responsible for administration and support of backup systems and software.
Develop and implement effective backup strategies and disaster recovery for Enterprise Systems.
Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to others.
Provide 24/7 support as needed and during emergencies.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and applications logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
Install new software releases, perform systems upgrades, and evaluate and install patches.
Set up/improve the process for managing customer tickets.
Document architecture and essential function methodologies by methodical troubleshooting, clear communications, and attention to detail.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or equivalent.
3+ years of experience working as a network engineer.
In-depth experience in designing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting LAN and WAN networks in a highly available, and secure environment.
Strong experience with VMware vSphere and Virtualization.
Strong knowledge of network security and firewall management (FortiGate, pfSense, etc.).
Problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a rapid-paced, customer-facing, 24/7 production environment.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Server Administration.
Strong experience with backup and recovery solutions (Veeam, and Veritas).
Good knowledge of Centralized Antivirus Products (Symantec, and Kaspersky).
Familiarity with DLP, EDR, and XDR concepts.
Experience in working with Cisco VoIP solutions is a plus.
Good oral and written communication skills in English.
