● Support the medical director in carrying out the day-to-day operational activities of the medical department.
● Review and sign-off of promotional and non-promotional material to ensure compliance with the codes of practice.
● Provide input to Arta Pharmed national projects as agreed from time to time on a defined basis.
● Support medical affairs projects and activities.
● Maintain high standards of technical proficiency.
● Develop relationships with key opinion leaders, patient organizations, and professional groups.
● Responsible for medical training of Arta Pharmed staff.
● Leverage clinical/scientific data to optimize the delivery of Arta Pharmed integrated product plans.
● Act as the primary “data expert” for the therapy area.
● Identify and communicate newly published data as appropriate.
● Monitor key information sources of changes within the pharmaceutical industry, NHS, and healthcare that may impact Arta Pharmed products, and communicate of relevance to the sales team.
● Proactively identify needs for promotional/ non-promotional material and discuss them with marketing colleagues.
Requirements
● Medically qualified.
● More than 2 years of clinical experience and experience beyond clinical medicine preferred.
● Pharmaceutical industry experience preferred - Ideally in the relevant therapeutic area and including customer-facing experience.
● Advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; conversant with key sites on the Internet; conversant with key medical databases and able to implement basic search strategies.
● Ability to communicate complex issues and data to a wide range of professional and lay audiences, adapting message and style to suit.
