Job Description

As part of POGDC’s portfolio and project management department, you will be operating as a PORTFOLIO & MARKET STUDY SPECIALIST. Your focus is on: ● Assist in the supervision and monitoring POGDC' portfolio of projects, to ensure the highest return on investments. ● Delivering value-enhancing solutions to POGDC investments through early phase project development scopes and consulting engagements. Through influence and coaching, you will lift our study management capability (skills, processes, and quality) to the world's best standard helping us to win and deliver strategic energy-market studies that lead our pull-through growth strategy. Key responsibilities: ● Provide innovative and strategic insights to support developing portfolio via in-depth market research, analytical reports, and issue summaries. ● Identify, develop, support, and execute business tactics and project opportunities aligned to deliver the strategy. ● Participate in business development studies, achieving quality in study execution activities, with the outcome of increasing our success and diminishing risks from early-stage projects definition into later-stage project execution. ● Execute/Lead opportunity assessments & feasibility studies. ● Generate, monitor and analyze execution and resourcing plans of the projects. ● Collaborates and builds a community of practice for world best practice in study management with peers across all sectors. ● Contribute and make recommendations to strategy and business initiatives.

Requirements

Education or experience qualifications: ● Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or MBA with an engineering background is preferred but consideration will be given to other degrees based on actual project experience. ● Minimum of 3 years experience combining relevant Study, Project, and Engineering Management. Subject matter qualifications: ● In-depth knowledge of energy and hydrocarbon market fundamentals is required. ● Thorough knowledge across the oil & gas value chain (upstream, midstream, downstream, LNG, oilfield services, and petrochemicals) is required. ● Experience in Front-End Studies & Advisory, Concept/Select, Consulting, PFS, FS is preferred. ● Value improvement focus, with demonstrable skills in value optimization and business case shaping. ● Familiarity with key industry data sources and analytical models/software is preferred. Research qualifications: ● Strong writing and editorial skills with an ability to translate research to investment perspectives and concerns. ● Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills; ability to think creatively and bring data modeling and other analysis to key industry issues. ● Excellent presentation, communication, and writing skills in English and Persian (presentations of solutions, concepts, and study recommendations, etc.)
