Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Lead Engineer – Pipeline Maintenance and Repairs to oversee maintenance, repair, and integrity management activities for oil and gas pipeline systems. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring pipeline reliability, safety, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity.
Key Responsibilities
Lead pipeline maintenance and repair activities
Develop and implement pipeline integrity management programs
Manage repair, replacement, and rehabilitation projects
Review and assess pigging and intelligent pigging results
Evaluate corrosion threats and recommend mitigation measures
Coordinate emergency repair and incident response activities
Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for pipeline failures
Interface with Operations, Inspection, HSE, and Contractors
Ensure compliance with applicable API, ASME, and company standards
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Solid Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics, Manufacturing & Production Engineering), Petroleum Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or related disciplines.
Proven experience in pipeline repair and integrity management
Strong knowledge of Pipeline Integrity Management Systems (PIMS)
Familiarity with API 570, API 1160, ASME B31.4, and ASME B31.8
Knowledge of corrosion assessment, cathodic protection, and risk-based inspection
Strong leadership, communication, and contractor management skills
Good command of English
