Investment Analyst (Venture Capital)

Job Description

This is an opportunity to get exposure to the internal processes of venture capital investment at a world-class financial group. You’ll work together with the investment team to identify technology trends and focus on high-potential investment opportunities. Main areas of interest include fintech, education, entertainment platforms, agri-tech, consumer social, shared economy, gaming, child and parent, supply chain, logistics, and software as a service. You’ll research the landscape, key customer pain points, competitive market dynamics, incumbent technologies, emerging technology trends and help identify promising opportunities within that particular sector. In addition, you’ll get the opportunity to help the team with diligence on potential investment opportunities and support existing portfolio companies outside of the sector you’ll be digging into. In this role, you will: ● Assist with pipeline management and deal structuring. ● Perform analysis of prospective investments, including performing in-depth market research, documenting customer calls, and creation of an investment thesis. ● Research and analysis on new local and international business models, technologies, and trends. ● Perform financial analysis, including revenue projections and scenario analysis. ● Prepare and present investment memos and pitch decks for new and follow-on investments based on fundamental analysis and market research. ● Prepare valuations for current and pipeline opportunities.
