POSITION SUMMARY
As an IS Operator, you will be responsible for operating, maintaining, and delivery of the required Utilities (Compressed Air, Process Water, Chilled Water, Steam, Gas.) to the Production plants (Confectionery and Dairy) on time and right quality. Working in close coordination with Production Operators, Technicians, and other trades to ensure the supply of Utilities within the required parameters and specifications. Operate and maintain Utility equipment and ensure timely implementation of the preventive maintenance schedule. Initiate and implement Energy and Water reduction projects in the factory.
A DAY IN THE LIFE …
• Ensure delivery of the right quality and quantity of Utilities at the right time during Production and off-production periods.
1. Participates in the implementation of Engineering compliance on contractor management in the site and ensure safety at work. Ensure Equipment parameters are within their required range and take the necessary corrective action when parameters go out of range. (Boiler, Chillers, Compressors, WWTP, Filtration, etc.) 2. Ensures that all M&I installations in the utilities area comply with market and corporate safety, health, environment, product safety, product quality standards and Efficiency. Water Consumption monitoring and Trending of usages.
3. Ensures that the key M&I documentation are up to date and in place (PM02, PM03, Calibration procedures, etc.).
4. Ensure compliance with environmental requirements such as Trade Waste discharge, Emission, irrigation, Refrigerant usage, Pressure vessels, Ammonia and Boiler safety, Hygienic air handling supply, etc.
5. Timely receiving of Diesel supplies from vendors
• Enable high-performance maintenance strategy by providing Asset Maintenance according to the Nestlé Strategy, using TPM-AM/PM as the multi-disciplined approach to maintain/improve fixed assets.
1. Ensure that all IS related equipment is monitored through condition monitoring tools in a appropriate interval. Initiate BDA for any line or machine stoppages under the Industrial Services section.
2. Monitoring and M&I expenses versus budget and ensuring required maintenance activities are carried out on schedule. Ensure Updated fix asset register. Full and active participation as ISWG member as part of the TPM-PM Pillar of the factory.
3. Mentoring of materials stocks in the Stores. Identify non-moving and slow-moving parts and provide recommendation at the disposal on non-moving parts. Enrollment of additional Parts in the AMM by periodic review of FLOCs (level 6)
• Ensure Processes and equipment in his area of competence are safe for people, products, and the environment, in line with all corresponding local / Nestlé regulations.
1. Compliance with Food Safety AHU- hygienic air handling parameters (Temp, RH), Closed Loop Water parameters, Process water. Compressed Air as a direct contact with our product, culinary steam.
2. Completion of Boiler and Ammonia Safety Audit findings.
3. Ensure updated Trade waste permit for WWTP, compliance to clean air thru Emission, adherence to Irrigation water parameters.
4. Periodic inspection of all pressure vessels (fired and unfired) and Water tanks Cleaning as required in our Operational Fitness Certificate.
• Support and implementation of the corresponding aspects of NCE/TPM. Ensure Engineering support to the implementation of the Market’s plans, procedures, and policies. ISWG member, key contact point for AM and PM from Engineering LC. Water and Energy reduction requirements against our Production volumes (top-down mandate)
ARE YOU A FIT?
• Academic Experience: Degree in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or similar)
• Operational Experience: Minimum 2 years of technical field experience in generating and supplying Utilities, preferably in the food manufacturing or consumer goods industry.
• General supervision experience (mainly on technical teams including contractors)
• Participation in Engineering projects as part of a multidisciplinary team and participation in the start-up of technical equipment(s) and/or production line(s) or systems.
