Finance Manager
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee all finance and accounting operations, including purchasing, sales, inventory, cost accounting, and related financial activities.
- Design, implement, and continuously improve financial systems and internal controls tailored to an e-commerce business environment.
- Calculate, analyze, and monitor product costing and cost of goods sold (COGS).
- Develop, manage, and monitor operational and capital budgets.
- Manage cash flow and working capital to ensure financial stability.
- Oversee VAT compliance for online sales and ensure adherence to tax regulations applicable to e-commerce and startup businesses.
- Analyze sales data to optimize inventory levels and minimize cash tied up in slow-moving products.
- Analyze order-level profitability by considering cost of goods sold, payment gateway fees, shipping costs, marketing expenses, and other variable costs across product categories.
- Prepare financial and management reports to support executive management and Board decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with tax, insurance, statutory, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee accounts receivable related to installment sales and project-based procurement contracts.
- Monitor key financial and business performance indicators, including Gross Merchandise Value (GMV), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and other critical KPIs.
- Supervise the financial aspects of procurement, inventory management, and sales operations.
- Build, lead, and develop the finance team while establishing an effective organizational structure.
- Liaise with banks, investors, auditors, and other financial institutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, financial statement analysis, and management reporting.
- Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, cash flow, and working capital management.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting standards, taxation, and insurance regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools.
- Experience in developing financial KPIs, dashboards, and performance reporting.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional processes and finance teams.

- Previous experience in e-commerce companies or online retail businesses.
