The position is based in Iran and you will report to the VP and General Manager of Novo Nordisk Iran. The position: As a CMR director, you are developing scientific and medical expertise and strategic guidance in Diabetes, fostering partnerships with the local scientific community, and supporting Novo Nordisk strategies, directly and through the management of the team of field and office-based Medical Managers. You will establish Novo Nordisk as a leader in diabetes and another upcoming future portfolio (NGI, GLP-1) in front of the scientific community. Your main accountabilities will be: ● Ensuring high-level quality in all portfolio processes concerning the medical area: brand plan input, HCP interaction plan, KOL engagement plan, medical affairs plan, and ensuring the accuracy of medical and scientific information regarding Novo Nordisk products through all channels: promotional material, the content of medical education activities, publications, internal training, etc. ● Developing and maintaining high-quality scientific partnerships with key KOLs and scientific societies and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders with the marketing, sales, and market access departments. ● Liaising with international bodies (Global Medical Affairs, Regional Medical Affairs) in order to provide input concerning our local medical needs. ● Leading the regulatory affairs function of the affiliate to ensure the implementation of Iranian MOH rules and regulations with regard to pharmaceutical companies; in-time registration of new products, so that products can be launched according to market plans and handles life-cycle management of marketed products according to local and global requirements. ● Ensuring pharmacovigilance (PV) governance. ● Leading and developing your team, ensuring a high-performance mindset and results of both individual and team according to NN processes.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, we require you to have a Master’s degree in Medicine (Endocrine or Internal Medicine Specialist (preferable). You should be fluent in both English and Farsi. To be effective in this role, it is mandatory to have: ● 5 to 7 years in the pharmaceutical industry, at least 3 years in Medical Affairs leadership role ● Knowledge of Iran regulations regarding clinical trials, drug promotion, and regulatory environment. ● Previous successful experience in people management and leading teams. ● Clinical practice or pharmaceutical experience working with diabetes would be a strong asset.
