Job Description
The compensation and benefits specialist coordinates and executes the employee compensation and benefits programs.
Responsibilities
- Time sheet and payroll calculations.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining personnel records.
- Develop and administer compensation programs, such as merit or incentive pay.
- Evaluate job positions, determining job classifications and grading.
- Prepare occupational classifications, job descriptions, and salary scales.
- Develop, implement, administer, and evaluate personnel and labor relations programs, including performance appraisal, affirmative action, and employment equity programs.
- Provide advice on the resolution of classification and salary complaints.
- Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers, and mediate labor disputes and grievances.
- Research job and worker requirements, structural and functional relationships among jobs and occupations, and occupational trends.
- Prepare reports, such as organization and flow charts and career path reports, to summarize job analysis and evaluation and compensation analysis information.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Industrial Engineering, or other related fields.; having a Master's degree, or an MBA degree is a plus.
- Upper intermediate knowledge of English.
Experience:
- At least 4 years of experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensation.
- Strong skills in Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
