
Job Description
The Commercial Planning and Effectiveness Manager is responsible for effective commercial planning and execution in alignment with brand, trade, and distribution strategies. The role ensures that commercial activities, systems, and performance management processes are effectively implemented to support business objectives and commercial excellence.
Areas of Responsibility:
Commercial Planning & Execution
• Lead the commercial planning process, ensuring alignment with marketing, trade, and distribution strategies.
• Oversee annual commercial planning initiatives, ensuring alignment with marketing, sales, trade, and distribution strategies.
• Act as the key interface between Marketing and Sales, driving cross-functional collaboration for impactful initiatives delivery.
• Identify operation gaps or risks, proactively addressing issues to sustain continuous business continuation.
• Support field force T2S planning, tracking and recommend improvements in line with market objectives.
• Oversee sales performance dashboards and KPIs to drive actionable insights and commercial decision-making.
Budget Management & Performance Monitoring
• Support Sales Director in ASP and LE cycle
• Ensure accurate tracking, reporting, and follow-up on budget utilization and variances.
Systems Deployment & Data Management
• Lead the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of commercial planning systems (TME and related tools).
• Ensure consistent data integration, reporting accuracy, and process standardization across teams.
Cross-functional Collaboration & Effectiveness
• Build strong collaboration between Marketing and Sales teams to ensure seamless integration of initiatives.
• Define clear goals and KPIs for sales activities, support stakeholders in evaluating results, and ensure effective execution of plans.
• Embed a strong commercial mindset into all planning and reporting processes to ensure alignment with strategic business goals.
Incentive and Loyalty Programs
• Manage distributor and trade incentivization schemes and loyalty programs, ensuring alignment with commercial priorities and performance outcomes.
• Track program effectiveness, measuring ROI, and propose improvements to enhance motivation and sales results
Candidate profile:
Education:
• University Degree
Work Experience:
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in FMCG company in Marketing or Sales function.
Language Skills:
• Advance Level
Functional Skills:
• Strong ability to multitask and prioritize deliverables effectively
• Excellent time management skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Proven supervisory and team leadership abilities
• Competence in commercial planning and strategy
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while delivering accurate results
• Proficient in systems and computer applications, including MS Office (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel) Identifying and applying efficiencies.
• MS Office tools and ERP.
