
Job Description
BI Specialist is responsible for managing data retrieval and analysis within an organization. His/ her duties include organizing data points, Communicating between upper management and the IT department, and analyzing data to determine a corporation’s needs. Main responsibilities: ● Transform data into insight that can help to improve the value of the business. ● Develop and manage business intelligence solutions for the organization. ● Provide reports through office applications to improve business processes. ● Collaborate with team members for the purpose of collecting data and executing the company’s mission. ● Analyze business requirements and processes and recommend them to the management and executives for implementation. ● Create and maintain documentation that includes the design, requirements and user manuals for the organization. ● Identify the development needs for the purpose of streamlining and improving the operations of the organization for efficiency and profitability. ● Partner with stakeholders, process specialists, and users to elicit and document business requirements. ● Translate non-technical requirements into technical business requirements. ● Partner with business departmental teams to define and document business requirements for new metrics and reports. ● Teache, tailor and assert control during interactions with the business. ● Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and task and workflow analysis. ● Design, develop, and maintain reports and analytical tools for the BU. ● Use current knowledge of business and technology to recommend systems and process improvements. ● Perform ongoing monitoring and refinement of reports and analytical solutions. ● Partner with architecture and solution delivery teams to enable reports that have long-term value. ● Closely work with enterprise Analytics team to stay up-to-date with enterprise guidelines and standards. ● Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile and identify gaps, uncover unmet business needs and work with data engineering, solution architects to create a finished solution.
Requirements
● At least Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fields. ● Proven ability to quickly learn new applications, processes, and procedures. ● Able and willing to collaborate in a team environment and exercise independent judgment. ● Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ● Reputable data skills that will garner respect and good partner relationships across functions. ● Strategic, an intellectually curious thinker with a focus on outcomes. ● Advanced knowledge of SQL, MS SQL Server, Tableau, and other related programs. ● Familiar with health-related products especially Pharmaceuticals. ● Familiar with health-related products regulators, officials, and executives especially IFDA, MOH, IHI, SSIO, etc. ● Ability to extract data and information from official websites. ● Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening, and presentation skills. ● Ability to work both as a team and independently. ● Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. ● Technological and computer knowledge. ● Proper knowledge of business policies and regulations.
