The most important task in account management is to:
● Design the brief; a well-targeted brief can be the making of a great campaign.
● While the work varies depending on the agency, account managers are normally responsible for client budgets, for managing the work of account executives and performing a range of related administrative functions.
● Review all creative concepts to confirm whether they meet strategic goals before delivery to the client for approval. The account manager keeps regular contact with all agency accounts at a level.
● Lead the agencies ideas presentation.
● Ensure the ideas remain faithful to the brief and that it is kept within the time frame and budget.
Requirements
● Time management.
● Planning and strategic knowledge.
● Proficient in MS Office tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
● This person should hold a business or marketing degree, together with successful advertising agency experience in more junior, supervised account group capacities. ● The account manager needs strong verbal and written communications skills; a capability for analytical thinking; a sense of entrepreneurship; dynamic presentation skills; personal organization; and interpersonal skills.
