Ensure that the operation, maintenance, support, and optimization of TX deployments across the network are in line with the TX Operation policies.
Ensure Transmission availability according to MTNIRANCELL standards, in line with the defined transmission topology and capabilities of technology.
Support rollout of transmission related to IPBB, RNC, NodeB, BTS, Core network, interconnection, and miscellaneous internal operational requirements within an assigned region.
Responsibilities:
To communicate with the Regulator and Incumbent Operators to ensure effective TX network operation.
To ensure the correctness of transmission network changes by turnkey vendors and all Transmission expansions are based on operational rules.
To coordinate and ensure the operation of TX deployments and changes from multiple internal and external stakeholders to support business growth.
To interface with providers of TX capacity especially for PAOs to ensure TX service availability.
To ensure the operation of all transmission network deployments and routes based on the defined procedure by TX OPS.
To ensure operation of all TX changes are implemented with the minimum impact on live NWG.
To support transmission network optimization to minimize outages and OPEX costs.
To monitor links availability and performance, track the issues and high fault links, and provide reports of all issues to ensure service availability of provided links.
To follow transmission SLAs with Managed services and report outages.
To implement the operational defined procedures and policies for all TX network deployments.
To ensure network link stability and protection.
To monitor TX OSS and Nodes Software's version and raise in case of Vendor EOS.
To monitor TX equipment PM report and arrange for random site visits to validate the PM reports and all Transmission cutovers to minimize outages.
To ensure high availability of transmission routes.
To ensure network changes are in line with network TX, and provide operational support when needed.
To track the plan provided by TX planning to have more reliable and stable links and provide advice when necessary.
To check day-to-day activity reports of the TIC links, this includes facilities implementation & support to ensure TX routes availability and monitor the performance of third parties, and cooperating to ensure their proposed changes are in line with our SLAs.
To ensure that all Transmission Nodes & Links delivered by the planning team are adherent to TX standards by PAC, PAT, FAC, and FAT procedure.
To track global technology advancements to optimize TX topology in line with the capacity and decrease OPEX.
To obtain permission for access to PAO sites.
To support vendors in the installation of Transmission indoor and outdoor equipment, Multiplexer Installations, and optical fiber network as per the plan.
To support the rollout of the TX backbone within the assigned region and synchronization with live NW.
To support interconnecting with other operators, corporate clients, and GSM service providers within the region.
Requirements
At least 4 years of experience in the radio and transmission field; With experience in supervising others.
RAN experience is preferred.
Experience in managing civil, electrical, Radio Frequency (RF), Telecoms, and sub-contractors.
