Job Description
Job purpose The Trade Marketing Manager plays a key role in increasing TDR market presence and brand strengthening. He/she ensures the development and implementation of category management strategies, driving excellence in store execution across trade channels. Responsibilities and accountabilities • establishes trade marketing strategy in line with sales and distribution strategy, as well as annualy and monthly trade promotion objectives • develops national trade marketing strategy in line with marketing strategy to increase customer acquisition and retention, as well as field sales force efficiency and motivation • collaborates with central trade marketing for the ideation, planning & budgeting of all trade marketing activities, including sales promotion, production and implementation of in store activities, point of sales materials production and promotions • ensures efficient creation and spending of trade marketing budget, in line with guidances received from central trade marketing • manages and monitors trade marketing investments and initiatives execution • collaborates with brand managers to build sales promotions and product communication in new product launches as well as in enhancing the sale of existing product portfolio • communicates with the distributor and coordinates the execution of sales activities in all channels of trade • collaborates with sales teams to turn the "selling stories" into sales tools to effectively present the brand, the products and marketing initiatives to their customers • acts as the point of contact between central marketing and local sales ensuring that all sales and marketing activites are clearly communicated, coordinated and implemented on the field • initiates and coordinates the implementation of special sales activities in defined trade channels/customers • negotiates development and implementation of marketing activities with marketing agencies • supports sales team in the execution of the activities and in achieving their sales and budget objectives, while ensuring the desired product benefits and brand values are properly communicated • Works with sales team to understand the need of POS material, executes all implementation of POS material across the distribution network • manages the point of sales material (including budget, logistics, distribution, assortment...) by finding the most efficient solutions • manages the development, production, purchasing and inventory of POS material • creates and manages the distribution of product information to customers and sales personnel • provides sales teams with training material and supports them in training the retail outlets sales personnel on the characteristics and benefits of the brand • Definition and implementation of category management principles • ensures that the feedback from the market is taken into account by regularly visiting sales teams, customers and stores • coordinates trade activities development with legal councelers ensuring full compliance with applicable rules and regulations
Requirements
Essential requirements • At least 5 years' experience in sales/trade marketing roles within an FMCG environment • Results oriented, entrepreneurial and self-motivating • Tenacious and resilient, driven to achieve even when faced with obstacles • Interpersonal skills capable of building strong working relationships and influencing others • Strong commercial understanding of business issues/opportunities • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop strategies, tactics and measurable implementation • Proficiency in English
