About the Role

Adorateb is looking for an experienced Software Development Manager to lead and oversee the organization’s software development capabilities, digital products, and technology projects.

In this role, you will be responsible for aligning software development initiatives with business needs and IT strategy, leading internal and outsourced development teams, ensuring the quality and reliability of software services, and driving continuous improvement across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
Contribute to the IT strategy and technology roadmap by identifying and prioritizing software and information system requirements in alignment with business objectives.
Define and implement software development strategies, standards, and processes across the organization.
Lead the design, development, implementation, and continuous improvement of software platforms and digital products, using internal teams and/or external vendors.
Oversee software development projects and ensure delivery within defined scope, timeline, quality, and budget.
Monitor the performance, availability, and quality of software systems and services to ensure compliance with agreed SLAs.
Establish and oversee software support processes to ensure timely resolution of user and business requirements.
Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to translate business requirements into scalable and effective software solutions.
Identify recurring technical and operational issues, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement preventive and continuous improvement initiatives.
Contribute to the evaluation and feasibility assessment of IT projects, technology solutions, and vendor contracts.
Support budget planning and resource allocation for software development and technology initiatives.
Lead, organize, and develop software development teams, ensuring effective resource planning and collaboration.
Coach and mentor team members, identify development needs, and support talent development and succession planning.
Ensure software development and operational practices are aligned with relevant ITIL, Agile, and governance frameworks.
Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and other technology teams to ensure seamless integration and reliable delivery of software services.
Requirements
Proven experience in Software Development Management, IT Management, or a similar leadership role.
Strong understanding of enterprise systems and ERP platforms.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and experience managing Agile development teams.
Good understanding of ITIL practices and IT service management.
Strong understanding of software product management and product development lifecycle.
Knowledge of Disaster Recovery Planning (DRP) and service/data recovery practices.
Working knowledge of database management and SQL/NoSQL technologies, including reporting and data-driven solutions.
Experience with technology budgeting, resource planning, and IT project management.
Familiarity with Microsoft-based development and DevOps environments.
Familiarity with Linux-based development and DevOps environments.
Good understanding of modern software architecture patterns, including Microservices and MVC.
General understanding of network architecture and technologies.
Familiarity with IT governance and process frameworks, particularly COBIT.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
Strong project, resource, and stakeholder management skills.
Excellent planning, organization, communication, and leadership skills.
High level of ownership, accountability, and results orientation.
