Job Description

This role is specially focused on client IT support which is normally called Help Desk; the main reason for this role is the first contact and support to all employees who use the internet network and all IT devices to help them with their daily usage and error.

The main accountabilities are as follows:

  • Modify, install, assess, and support infrastructure on a regular basis to ensure it continues to meet the necessary demands of the organization.
  • Support, maintenance, and troubleshooting of servers and networks.
  • Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, hardware, security system, telephone system, network cables, nodes, and connections.
  • Develop new strategies and IT procedures to increase efficiency.
  • Coordinate the needs of in-house and remote employees and contractors.
  • Protect data from outside infiltration through encryption, secure data storage, and other necessary means.
  • Offer suggestions for possible upgrades and changes within the IT area.
  • Technical control of purchased equipment.
  • Assist with the installation of new hardware and implementing operating systems and train employees on their use.
  • Take an active part in supplier selection and contract preparation processes.
  • Ensure coordination with suppliers, checks the accuracy of the invoice contents, and follow up on the service level in accordance with the contracts.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of working with Mail Servers e.g. MDaemon and various types of Firewalls.
  • Having a background and knowledge of working with VMware.
  • Knowledge of Windows, network, and the internet.
  • Prior experience in tech support, desktop support, or a similar role is a plus.
  • Capacity to clearly explain a technical problem to end-users and colleagues.
  • Good written and verbal communication.
  • Windows and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Experience installing software, patches, and updates on Windows and Android.
  • Experience troubleshooting basic network issues is a plus.
