Job Description
Main Responsibilities: Supervises, maintains and monitors the implementation of administrative policies and procedures for employees in the finance department. Ensures total conformance to the overall company policy. Other Duties: - Supervises the activities of assigned personnel in the unit. Performs supervisory duties at the level established by management for the position. Note: Specific managerial and supervisory responsibilities are summarized in a separate document included in the job description manual. - Conglomerates information related to accounting policies and procedures for the company utilizing inputs from each section of the finance department and applying generally accepted standards. Includes establishing, maintaining and updating such accounting policies as conditions change. - Establishes policies and procedures relating to internal control, management reporting, government reporting and external disclosure as dictated. Includes ensuring the adherence to the various agreements governing the activities of the company, CNPCI and NIOC. - Participates in the development and implementation of ongoing utilization of a standard reconciliation format for all general ledger accounts. - Balances control versus efficiency and effectiveness of policies and procedures. Includes analyzing past performance of accounting procedures and recommending any future amendments that will enhance performance. - Carries out other similar or related duties such as preparing ad hoc reports, providing expertise and training in the application of accounting policies and procedures, etc.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements: - B.A. degree in accounting - 10 years of experience in administering finance and accounting policies and procedures preferably in the oil industry - Very good knowledge of English. - Computer literate Overtime acceptable Skills: Familiar with Microsoft products
