Job Description

A Reservoir Engineer must have the ability to analyze in-depth the flowing behavior of an entire oil hydrocarbon reservoir including all producing and injection wells. A Reservoir Engineer will determine the most effective recovery processes, estimating the location and number of wells that can be economically drilled, and simulating performance over the life of an oilfield using sophisticated computer models and mathematical simulators of the reservoir. Primary Responsibilities: • Estimating the potential of a reservoir in order to determine its value and likely investment required; • Simulating fluid flow (running computer models that simulate fluid flow through the field over time); • Analyzing the properties of fluid to predict fluid behaviour and various physical effects, and investigate gas cycling schemes; • Liaising with laboratories to get oil and water measurements, etc • Identifying additional well locations to maintain oil rate; • Investigating enhanced oil recovery options; • Providing economic data to evaluate various aspects of commercial potential; • Working closely with operational staff, and with other professionals, such as geologists, geophysicists and petrophysicists. Report to: Operation Manager Desired start date: As soon as possible working hours: Saturday - Wednesday 8:00am - 4:30pm
