Job Description
The main purpose of the job: Provide clinical supervision to the Mental Health (MH) team in order to reinforce good practices and quality of care provided to marginalized groups, including homeless people, drug users, sex workers, street children, and the Ghorbat ethnic minority. Responsibilities and tasks: ● Helping the MH team to stay emotionally balanced by allowing its members to talk about emotionally triggering cases. ● Discussing challenging cases with the psychologists, helping them to establish plans of treatment and overcome obstacles that they may face in the treatment process. ● Helping the MH team to understand the needs of the patients and how to address them. ● Providing the MH team with technical suggestions, tools, and training based on their needs and the requests of the Project Medical Referent/MH Referent.
Requirements
Specific requirements for the role: ● Master’s degree in clinical psychology. ● 5 years of experience as a clinical psychologist/psychotherapist. ● 2 years of experience in providing clinical supervision is strongly preferred. ● Knowledge of vulnerable populations (homeless individuals, drug users, ethnic minorities, etc.) and the difficulties linked to working with them is preferred. Personal attributes required: ● Good communication skills. ● Fluent in English and Persian. ● Good reporting skills, written and oral.
