Job Description

Job purpose: The Plant Controller SMIR ensures the business partner function for the local production entity, the Corporate Management Controlling, Corporate Finance and other Corporate functions. The Plant Controller SMIR is responsible for presenting and commenting the local performance (COGS, scrap, capacity usage, etc.). He points out ineffectiveness and is initiating improvement actions with the respective department. Is responsible for the controlling closing processes at month end also in coordination with the Finance team of STIR. A regular collaboration with the accounting and treasury department ensures the alignment within the STRM Finance community. He is also responsible to drive and consolidate the planning activities (rolling forecast, LE, budget). The head operations controlling is also a driver of change and projects within his area of responsibility. He is a sparring partner for the local and group management. Main tasks and responsibilities: • Ensure the management control and the proper allocation of resources of SMIR. • Preparation of monthly analyses based on business development planning. • Implementation of corrective actions during deviations. • Responsibility for the financial control of SMIR. • Calculation of cost and transfer prices. • Financial support and advice to management. • Support and advice to cost center managers, cost control and stock taking. • Establishment of a monthly financial report in accordance with the needs of SMIR and the requests of corporate controlling. • Continuous development of local controlling analysis tools. • Establishment of financial planning tools such as budgets, latest estimates and strategic plan. • Set-up, maintain and update Rahakaram. • Ad-hoc analysis and participation in projects in multi-functional teams.

Requirements

Requirements needed: Education: • Finance or controlling or engineering degree. Experience: • 5+ years of experience in operations / production controlling, preferably in an international environment, healthcare area an asset. • Experience as team leader. • Working in interdisciplinary teams. • Experience with Rahakaram. Personal Attributes: • Team player with an open and proactive “can do” attitude. • Self-driven, independent, able to work under pressure. • Excellent communication skills, both orally and in written form. • Good project management skills. • Fluent in English.
