As a Piping Designer at ViVANGAS you will review Industrial gases piping and site conditions, review piping outlet points valve and fitting specifications, develop 3D models, prepare piping isometrics, plan elevation drawings and bills of materials. You will participate in project meetings, model reviews and interface with other disciplines that are working in the 3D model. This position may coordinate the work of other assigned designers and engineers , and is responsible for reviewing and checking assigned work to meet quality standards. Your projects will involve small to medium size industrial Gases projects in client or ViVANGAS facilities. Your clients may include the refining, chemical, life sciences, pharmaceutical and food/beverage semi conductor welding and cutting or any other industries.
Prepares drawings and layouts, specifications, technical calculations, charts and graphs, cost estimates, and bills of materials. Responsible for developing designs for complete and complex engineering systems, structures and plant arrangements. Demonstrates awareness and commitment to health, safety and environmental issues. Receives minimal supervision on unusual or difficult problems, and general review of all aspects or work. Reviews and checks calculations, design models, drawings and design documents for quality, accuracy, neatness, functionality, and satisfactory completion. Plans, organizes, and coordinates own work as well as work of assigned designers and drafters. Plans and executes the presentation of arrangements in graphic form or in detailed scale models. Consistently achieves goals, delivers quality and accurate work and meets timelines. Effectively interacts with all levels of employees, clients and vendors. Strong customer focus with commitment to building enduring relationships that yield customer satisfaction and loyalty. Ability to deal with change and demonstrate flexibility as required. Adheres to required processes and embraces opportunities for continuous improvement. Requirements/Skills: Associate degree in engineering or specialized courses in drafting, design and engineering practices piping design experience. 3D modeling design experience with an understanding of 3D modeling best practices and procedures. understanding of layout/installation of piping in existing pipe racks and equipment layout in existing facilities. Good understanding regarding best practices to coordinate other disciplines working in the 3D model environment in order to ensure clash free design. Knowledge, API, ASME and ANSI standards. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact effectively with clients, project team members and other staff.
