Job Description

I. JOB PURPOSE : To achieve sales targets by directing, coaching and controlling the activities of the pharmacy sales team to ensure maximum brand exposure and yield from promotional expenditure. II. ACCOUNTABILITIES: • Develop a full plan for direct coverage of pharmacies through the use of sales team. • Manage the day to day activities of the sales team. • Identify and propose sales campaign terms and conditions, and implement them for defined products when required. Prepare and propose sales management expense budget and control expenditure ensuring targets are achieved within budgetary limits, • Track weekly and monthly demand plans of the pharmacy channel to ensure the availability products on time, takes corrective action when necessary, • Contribute to the development and implementation of the annual sales budget in the pharmacy channel to achieve sales objectives, • Establishes and maintains long lasting relationship with current and potential customers, identify sales opportunities whilst analysing credit risks and obtaining letter of guarantees to achieve targeted sales and minimise bad debts, • Ensure maintenance of distribution levels as per agreed norms for existing brands and for achieving distribution levels within the agreed time frame for NPDs. • Develop and maintain a reporting system, which would provide a detailed coverage analysis of sales representatives also help in measuring their efficiency. • Direct, train, supervise and coach the sales team.
