Job Description
This vacancy varies from junior to expert positions. CAPE is searching for Production engineers for its in-house upstream department and for projects and jobs with clients in their offices. Detailed knowledge and / or experience of the following: • Solid background in a development and production environment • Ability to perform Well & production modelling • Oil and gas production planning • Prepare completion, workover, re-completion, and artificial lift programs • Developing methods to characterize dynamic properties • Functional understanding of geology, geophysics, petrophysics and reservoir characterization issues and how they relate to reservoir performance and development planning • Proficiency in industry standard analytical reservoir engineering packages, including Petex IPM Suite, Saphir and/or PanSystem • Production monitoring and evaluation • Regularly liaise with Well Performance Engineers to go into the details & check / validate methodology & assumptions of well modelling • Lead, train and guide the production team • Travel onshore & offshore fields as required to supervise well interventions & Tests
Requirements
The following skills, experience and qualifications are required: • Minimum of a degree in Petroleum or Production Engineering • At least 5 years industry experience working as a Production Engineer • An ability to deal with complex issues, and incomplete data, both systematically and creatively • Effective team player but also capable of working independently • Ability to lead a small team to maximize the capabilities of the team members • Resourceful and highly motivated • Ability to work within tight time-frame • Self direction and originality in tackling and solving problems • Initiative, personal responsibility and decision making skills
