Job Description
Translating news items and articles for mass and electronic media from Farsi to English and English to Farsi, including: • Translating technology and business headlines and body of news, reports and articles • Reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language • Finding the closest equivalents for terminology used in the texts • Researching and finding technical terms and phraseology to find the correct translation • Proofreading and editing • Providing and generating Farsi content for media in different formats (report, news, reviews, etc.)
Requirements
• Good general knowledge of new technologies, IT and general news • Fluent in written English and Farsi • Good knowledge of journalism and content writing • Project management skills • Sensitive to timelines and project limitations • More than 2 years of experience in translation and content writing
