Core Network Planning Engineer delivers detailed Switch planning to in order to produce network diagrams, routing plans, digit analysis, signaling plans, numbering plans, charging plans, DCN settings and synchronization plans for the Mobile Switching Center (MSC). The individual will directly support our customers while ensuring that the planning activities are met on time with the required deliverables and quality in continuously changing environment. Competence development and transfer are essential parts of the task as well as guiding planning partners and Nokia own planners. Tasks of Core Network Planner include: Executing Guidelines for network planning and creation of: • Numbering Plan definition • Signaling Plan definition • Synchronization Plan definition • Interconnection planning • IN based services planning • Exchange Data Planning Developing Network Planning Guidelines for projects purposes: • Competence transfer • Planning Management support • Program Manager tasks • Best practices sharing. To perform MSC planning in the following areas: Speech Network, Signaling Network, Standard Translation/Configuration, Network Load (CPU, Circuit Group, Signaling Links.) Independently perform Network Dimensioning in of the Speech Network (Circuit Group) and Signaling Network. Support Feature Implementation: Analysis, Data/Parameters Definition and Network Test Supervision Support for new Architecture Implementation: Analysis, Data/Parameters Definition and Network Test Supervision including Inter-Working Vendors. Support Architecture and Network Optimization in the following areas: Speech Routing Network, Network redesign, Speech Routing modification, Signaling Routing Network (Network redesign, Signaling Routing modification), Standard Translation/Configuration redefinition, Overload Mechanism Parameters settings. Support for Routing Performance Optimization in the following areas: Failed Call Attempts, CPU Load, Circuit Group and Signaling Links Congestion, and Inter-MSC Handover. Support for Architecture and Feature Problem Solving Support for daily technical Questions and Answers regarding Nokia’s NSS.
