Job Description

• Manage and oversee the production and development activities of the mine, taking into consideration the long-term requirements of the mine as well as responding to the daily requirements, in order to achieve the budget • Actively support, participate and lead as required, in safety activities such as safety and toolbox meetings, health promotion talks, safety presentations etc. • Monitor the completion of works to ensure that they are undertaken in accordance with the expectation detailed in the plan and implement timely remedial action when required. • Monitor development, stopping and mining projects' progress against weekly, monthly and quarterly targets. • Maximize mined recovery and minimize dilution in stopping activities. • Instigate improvements and ensure requirements and proposals of the underground operations are considered by the Mining Manager by openly promoting, supporting and sharing suggestions and ideas • Maximize mined recovery and minimize dilution in stopping activities. • Oversee the preparation of schedules of mining activities in order to create accurate forecasts and budgets by ensuring that the development schedule is matched to the production requirements
