Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Specialist to optimize transportation processes customs clearance and timely delivery of telecommunications equipment while minimizing costs and adhering to customs regulations The ideal candidate will report to the Supply Project Manager and play a key role in ensuring seamless logistics operations
Key Responsibilities
Transportation Booking Negotiation Negotiate effectively with domestic and international freight providers airseal and to select optimal shipping methods balancing cost and time efficiency to meet project requirements
Transport Coordination Monitor shipment schedules ETDETA and resolve transit delays proactively to ensure ontime delivery in alignment with project timelines
Customs Clearance Prepare and submit accurate customs documentation HS codes invoices permits including CRA and oversee clearance processes to prevent delays and ensure compliance with regulations
RealTime Shipment Tracking Update tracking systems daily and promptly alert project managers to deviations eg route changes delays to mitigate risks
LastMile Delivery Coordination Plan and coordinate domestic transportation from warehouses to project sites minimizing storage time and ensuring timely final delivery
Damage Inspection Document cargo damages upon arrival using photo reports and liaise with suppliers to process compensation claims
Returns Management RMA Facilitate the return of defective goods to international suppliers by completing required forms and coordinating costeffective reverse logistics
Landed Cost Calculation Compute total logistics costs duties taxes freight and provide detailed financial reports to ensure budget transparency and forecasting accuracy
Document Archiving Maintain systematic records of customs and shipping documents for 7 years ensuring audit readiness per legal and organizational requirements
Carrier Performance Evaluation Conduct quarterly assessments of freight providers based on ontime delivery OTD and service quality recommending improvements or terminations
Emergency Shipment Handling Expedite urgent air freight shipments charters for critical projects streamlining customs clearance to minimize downtime
Insurance Claims Processing File claims for lostdamaged goods by compiling evidence eg inspection reports and collaborate with finance to recover compensation
Compliance Oversight Ensure adherence to importexport regulations by screening prohibited items and training procurement teams to avoid violations
Qualifications Requirements
A Education Certifications
Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering Supply Chain or related fields
A background in ElectricalIT Engineering would be a significant plus
Masters degree preferred in MBA Logistics or related fields
Certifications CIPS or ISO 31000 a plus
B Experience
5 years in logisticss procurement within ICTtelecom
Proven track record in Managing imports ChinaEurope under CRA licenses and handling rather highvalue projects at least 1M
C Technical Skills
Advanced Excel DataDecision analysis tools
Knowledge of HS codes INCOTERMS and customs protocols
D Soft Skills
English fluency IELTS 6 for business correspondence
Strategic thinking crisis management and strong negotiation skills
