Position Summary

An IT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the IT department, ensuring that technology systems, infrastructure, and applications function efficiently and securely. This role involves leading a team of IT professionals, coordinating IT projects, and ensuring that IT solutions align with organizational needs. IT Supervisors play a key role in maintaining system reliability, optimizing IT resources, and enforcing security protocols to support business operations. They work closely with executive leadership, IT staff, and other departments to ensure seamless technology operations and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

The tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Supervise and lead the IT team, providing training, mentorship, and performance.
• Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and network systems.
• Ensure that the organization’s IT infrastructure is secure, reliable, and optimized for performance.
• Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshoot IT issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with other departments to assess technology needs and recommend appropriate IT solutions.
• Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, new installations, and process improvements.
• Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to enhance security, efficiency, and compliance.
• Maintain accurate documentation for IT systems, configurations, and processes.
• Ensure compliance with IT regulations, cybersecurity standards, and industry best practices.
• Assist in IT budgeting and cost management, optimizing spending on hardware, software, and IT services.
• Oversee IT inventory management, ensuring hardware and software are up to date, licensed, and functional.
• Support and enforce disaster recovery and backup strategies to ensure business continuity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, or IT management.
• Strong technical expertise in network administration, systems management, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with network security, firewalls, encryption technologies, and IT risk management.
• Knowledge of database management systems and enterprise applications.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to diagnose IT-related issues efficiently.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities, with experience mentoring and guiding IT professionals.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with IT asset management, software licensing, and IT budgeting.
