We are seeking an experienced Head of DevOps to join our client, a technology company, and lead the development of reliable, scalable cloud infrastructure, platform architecture, and software delivery processes.
This role is ideal for a seasoned DevOps and infrastructure leader with strong expertise in cloud platforms, containerized environments, automation, and platform engineering, who is passionate about building high-performing teams, improving system reliability, and enabling engineering teams to deliver products more efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
DevOps Strategy & Team Leadership
• Define and execute the DevOps and infrastructure roadmap in alignment with product objectives and the company’s growth plans.
• Lead the DevOps team, set technical priorities, support team members’ professional development, and improve overall performance.
• Partner closely with engineering, architecture, and product teams to remove technical bottlenecks, enhance the developer experience, and accelerate product delivery.

Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineering
• Design, develop, and oversee scalable cloud infrastructure and container-based platforms, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
• Lead the development and continuous improvement of cloud and platform services, including PaaS and KaaS, to simplify infrastructure access for engineering teams and customers.
• Establish and improve automated CI/CD pipelines for software building, testing, deployment, and release management.
• Promote Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices to improve consistency, repeatability, and operational efficiency.

Reliability, Security & Operation
• Implement and enhance monitoring, logging, and distributed tracing to detect issues early and improve service reliability.
• Design high-availability, disaster recovery, and capacity management strategies to maintain stable operations under varying workloads.
• Define and enforce infrastructure security standards, including access control, workload isolation, identity management, and secure deployment practices.
• Lead the response to major infrastructure incidents, oversee root cause analysis, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor infrastructure costs, resource utilization, and capacity requirements, identifying opportunities to optimize spending without compromising service quality.

Technical Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
• Evaluate emerging technologies and infrastructure products, develop proof-of-concept implementations, and assess potential solutions for platform improvement.
• Drive architectural decisions and technical improvements that support scalability, operational excellence, and evolving business needs.

What You Bring
• At least 8 years of professional experience in DevOps, infrastructure, or platform engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience managing or leading DevOps, infrastructure, or platform teams, with a proven track record of technical leadership.
• Hands-on experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud infrastructure and large-scale production systems.
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker, with experience managing containerized production environments.
• Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Argo CD.
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code principles and practical experience with tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems architecture, networking, storage, load balancing, and infrastructure resource management.
• Experience designing high-availability, disaster recovery, scalability, and capacity management solutions.
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana, as well as log and trace management systems.
• Knowledge of infrastructure security, identity and access management, secrets management, and secure deployment practices.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including experience investigating complex production issues and leading root cause analysis.
• Strong technical decision-making, architectural design, and solution evaluation skills, with the ability to align technical choices with product and business requirements.
• Strong team leadership, prioritization, technical project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with technical teams and management and explain complex technical concepts clearly.

Nice To Have
• Experience working at cloud service providers, hosting companies, data centers, or infrastructure product companies.
• Experience designing multi-region or multi-data-center architectures and multi-tenant infrastructure.
• Familiarity with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience implementing GitOps workflows and working with tools such as Helm and Argo CD.
