Your new role 

As a Governmental Affairs Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Research government activities and policy developments affecting Novo Nordisk’s business, particularly in diabetes care.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Iranian government entities and key policymakers.
• Advocate for legislative and public policy changes that support company operations.
• Represent Novo Nordisk at industry forums, governmental meetings, and external events.
• Prepare and maintain updated materials for engagement with healthcare policymakers and stakeholders.
• Ensure ethical conduct and compliance with Novo Nordisk principles, legal requirements, and confidentiality standards.
• Collaborate across internal teams, manage external stakeholder interactions, prepare correspondence, and travel across provinces to fulfil role duties.

Your new department

You will be part of the MAPA team in Iran, a dynamic and collaborative environment where we work together to address social, economic, and environmental challenges. 

The department is responsible for maintaining and enhancing positive relations with external audiences, including government entities, policymakers, and the general public. 

We focus on public relations, government relations, and community engagement to protect and promote Novo Nordisk’s reputation 

while advancing our mission to improve the lives of people living with diabetes and obesity. 

The team operates in a fast-paced and impactful atmosphere, where your contributions will make a real difference.

Your skills & qualifications

We are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• Relevant academic background (MBA, MSc or similar) with 3–5 years of experience in a comparable role.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills; fluent in Farsi and English.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, presentation skills, and solid business/analytical capabilities.
• Knowledge of state government structures, legislative advocacy, negotiation, persuasion, and problem‑solving.
• Additional advantages: key account management experience, motivation and ambition, strong collaboration skills, and understanding of budget and appropriations processes.
