Job Description
The Embassy of Brazil in Tehran is hiring one professional for the place of Foreign Trade Technical Assistant (FTTA). - The FTTA will be in charge of: a) Assisting the Trade Promotion Section (SECOM) of the Embassy; b) Gathering information and data on trade, finance, economy, business environment and other subjects; c) Preparing market research, finance, economic and political analyses, business reports and newsletters; d) Organizing fairs, exhibitions, business seminars, receptions and other events; e) Assisting Brazilian business and official delegations. f) Liaising with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Industry, Mining and Trade, the Trade Promotion Organization, Chambers of Commerce, and other governmental and private organizations; g) Answering inquiries through telephone, e-mail and personal meetings; h) Translating official communications received and dispatched.
Requirements
- Candidates for this position must have the following requirements: a) Good communication and negotiation skills; b) Assertiveness, initiative and self-motivation; c) Education and/or proven experience in foreign trade and international economy; d) University certificate; e) Advanced level of Persian and English languages, written and spoken (knowledge of Portuguese and/or Spanish languages is highly appreciated); f) Computer skills: WINDOWS, Microsoft Word, EXCEL and PowerPoint; g) Good demeanor, discipline and communication skills; h) eighteen years of age or older; i) Medical certificate of mental and physical health; j) Absence of criminal record. - Non-Iranian candidates must provide proof of legal residency status and work permit. - Brazilian candidates must also provide: a) Military service certificate or exemption from duties of military service (for male candidates only); b) Signed statement that the applicant does not hold a post, employment or is not in public service in Brazil; c) Voting certificate and voting record. - The selection process will be divided in two phases. a) Phase 1 (12 to 15 September): Shortlisting, according to their Curricula Vitae. b) Phase 2 (19 to 22 September): Oral interview and written tests at the Embassy - During the oral interview and written tests, candidates will be tested on their demeanor, work experience, proficiency in languages, computer skills and communication skills. - The final result of the selection process will be informed to all candidates selected to the interview until 28 September 2016. - This selection process is valid for 12 months, during which period candidates who fulfilled the minimum requirements but were not selected to this position can be hired to similar positions eventually opened in the Embassy.
