Firouzeh Asia Brokerage is a subsidiary of Turquoise Partners Group. It is a leading stock brokerage firm, offering a wide range of services to domestic and international clients, within the Iranian capital market. Turquoise Partners Group has been a leader in attracting foreign investors into Iran’s stock market for over a decade and has developed extensive network around the world, particularly in Europe and Asia. The group has gone through tremendous growth and now consists of a leading investment company (IDIC), a stock brokerage firm (Firouzeh Asia) and an international asset management operation. This is a newly created position and an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated leader to play a significant role in the future growth and expansion of the firm and the Group as a whole. This implies that in many cases you will have to develop policies and processes from scratch or restructure existing practices. Consequently, it is essential that you are a self-starter, able to effectively manage all aspects of tasks and projects within tight deadlines and can rigorously and consistently monitor compliance of practices with set policies. The ideal candidate will be process oriented, is able to find the right balance between policies and contingent decisions, is a strong manager and motivator of staff at all levels and has a proven track record in leading organizational changes. Summary of the key responsibilities of the position are as outlined below: - Management and Oversight of Finance, Administration, HR, IT and Staff Services departments. - Act as the financial controller of the firm; developing, implementing and supervising financial and cash management policies and ensuring full compliance with all stock market regulator (SEO) requirements. Effective and comprehensive planning to ensure that all reporting cycles deadlines (e.g. regulatory reporting, audit, etc.) are met. - Review of existing administration and customer relations procedures and formulation and implementation of an improvement programme. This should result in achieving customer service levels in line with the Group policies and standards. - Assist in development of HR policy and culture change programme (which is being developed at Group level), and implement and supervise the programme in collaboration with Group head of HR. - Review existing IT policies and practices and formulate an improvement programme with a view to bring IT function in line with firm and wider Group strategy.
Requirements
- A degree from a reputable Iranian or international university, preferably in a numeric subject - At least 3 years experience in a managerial role in the field of finance/operations/HR. Experience in multi-national companies would be highly valuable. - Knowledge of Iran’s capital and financial markets would be an advantage, although not essential. Experience in global financial markets would be highly valued. - Fluency in English is not essential initially, but would be of paramount importance for future career progression. - Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills in a MUST.
