Job Description

  • To liaise with other relevant divisions/departments (marketing, digital dep, financial operations, regions, channels, and marketplace suppliers) to ensure the digital sales process is uninterrupted and sales targets are achieved.
  • To plan and manage the sales through digital sales channels (e-shop, auction portal, marketplace platform, telesales, social media, mobile app, USSD, web shop, SMS, etc.)
  • To identify, assess, onboard, and manage marketplace suppliers
  • To execute marketplace sales strategies, targets, and promotional plans. To analyze and report market trends within the sector (digital channel) and continuous analysis to improve the digital sales channel performance.
  • To identify opportunities in the digital sales channel in the market and develop a plan to take advantage of opportunities
  • To investigate and propose developing and building relations with strategic clients within the country (digital sales companies, marketplace suppliers) to top S&D management and advise on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions within the sector
  • To ensure that digital sales targets and service levels are achieved based on targeted monthly sales amounts
  • To manage monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets including:
  • determine the number of direct digital sales points required to achieve sales targets.
  • To allocate volume targets per sales points
  • generate product ideas for the channel and follow them through to implementation
  • To make product available through online channels,
  • To manage the development, growth, and maintenance of the digital channel based on:
  • To monitor channel profitability.
  • To conduct demand planning – forecast product performance.
  • To monitor sales performance trends within the channel and products
  • To keep up to date with competitor activity and transfer knowledge/plan accordingly.
  • To optimize digital sales platforms to ensure sufficient capacity for targeted sales and expected performance.
  • To manage changes and enhancement with its digital channels in defined sprints.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, or relevant majors; a Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
  • Fluent in English.
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience in sales and distribution; with at least 2 years of experience in digital sales.
  • Experience in supervising/managing others.
  • Experience working in a medium to large organization.
  • Telecoms and business management experience will be an added advantage.
