Job Description
Job Responsibilities
• Review and evaluate civil and structural engineering drawings, designs, and calculations, including industrial structures, silos, towers, and foundations for heavy and dynamic equipment.
• Conduct technical feasibility assessments of project sites, identify site constraints and construction risks, and recommend appropriate engineering solutions.
• Coordinate with mechanical, piping, electrical, and other engineering disciplines to resolve design clashes and ensure engineering integration.
• Prepare and review technical specifications, quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and technical tender documents.
• Supervise civil construction activities, including excavation, soil improvement, piling, foundation works, reinforced concrete structures, and heavy steel structures.
• Verify the quality of construction materials and execution through site inspections and review of relevant laboratory and field test results.
• Evaluate contractors' technical performance and review progress statements, executed quantities, site measurements, and supporting documentation.
• Monitor the physical progress of civil and structural works, track major construction material quantities, and coordinate with the Project Management Office (PMO) to assess schedule and execution deviations.
• Review proposed design changes, assess their technical implications, and follow up on the required engineering review and approval processes.
• Identify technical and construction risks, prepare periodic technical reports, and document project challenges and lessons learned.
