The CEO is seeking a highly intelligent and self-motivated Software Team Lead to work in an intellectually stimulating, fast-paced, startup environment. Our ideal CTO is a talented, and highly ambitious person to join our talented team in Tehran (next to Sharif University). PersianGig is a full-service cloud service provider that employs a team of 40. The CTO must be interested in being be heavily involved in the growth and development of all facets of the company. We are looking for a leader that will drive the technology roadmap, build an A+ engineering team, deliver quality products that delight users, and be the technological face of the company. You must be able to architect at the 30 thousand foot level and able to roll up your sleeves and code. You should be solution centric, results-oriented, and experienced in distributed systems, front-end, mobile technologies. You must be able to turn complex and aggressive vision into an actionable set of prioritized objectives. The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) is the lead executioner who will become a partner to the CEO (based in the US) in implementing the vision and strategy to grow the company through the use of data driven analysis of the business. The CTO leads the engineering team and will provide leadership to the technical and product teams and will oversee development that involves international communication and operations between Silicon Valley and Tehran. In this role, you will: • Evolve and execute the company's strategic direction and technical roadmap • Build and shape the engineering culture, drive technical decisions and deliver new product features • Grow and manage our top-flight engineering team • Be the technological face of the company with conferences, events, and media • Experience in implementing architectures for large-scale web application systems • Work with product owner (CEO) to guide and refine requirements, and design next generation features. • Monitoring and optimizing performance for various services • Create elegant & scalable Infrastructures for millions of users • Manage and prioritize the troubleshooting & triage problem reports as part of a 24x7x365 support rotation
