POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Tech Lead – Marketplaces to own the technical architecture, scalability strategy, and engineering execution of multi-sided digital platforms.

This role requires strong systems thinking across user flows, transaction logic, pricing models, trust mechanisms, and performance at scale. You will align technical architecture with marketplace dynamics, ensuring the platform supports growth, liquidity, and long-term business objectives.

This role supports a hybrid working model, designed to enable deep focus and high-quality execution while maintaining strong collaboration across product and engineering teams.

A DAY IN THE LIFE …

• Design and own scalable architectures for multi-sided marketplace platforms
• Lead technical decisions across backend systems, APIs, and transaction flows
• Architect core marketplace mechanisms (matching logic, pricing, ranking, trust systems)
• Collaborate closely with Product and Business to align platform mechanics with growth strategy
• Ensure performance under high concurrency and traffic spikes
• Review code and guide engineers across backend, frontend, and data layers
• Identify bottlenecks in liquidity, matching, and user experience
• Use AI-assisted tools to optimize ranking systems, fraud detection, and performance analytics

SKILLS

Marketplace Architecture
• Strong experience building scalable, transaction-heavy platforms
• Deep understanding of multi-sided marketplace mechanics
• Experience with matching algorithms, pricing models, and ranking logic

Scalability & Performance
• Expertise in high-concurrency systems and distributed architectures
• Experience designing for growth, liquidity, and dynamic demand patterns
• Strong architectural judgment for long-term scalability

Data & Intelligence
• Experience working with analytics, recommendation, or ranking systems
• Understanding of fraud prevention and trust mechanisms
• Ability to use AI tools to enhance personalization and optimization

Leadership & Execution
• Ownership of technical direction across multiple engineering domains
• Ability to align engineering with product and business growth strategy
• Strong communication with senior stakeholders across functions
