Job Description
The Solution Consultant provides the pre-sales support and consultancy required to sell a project or solution. The Solution Consultant will a subject matter expert in one or several C&I service and solution areas that are part of the global C&I portfolio and will usually be dedicated to provide support for one or more customer account teams in the sales process. Key tasks: • Responsible for top-line and GM regarding one/several practices towards named customers. Develops strong sales funnel within a given solution area and customer. Capable to prove solution benefits to customer by demonstrating a business case. • Accumulates understanding on the customers' priorities and multi-vendor installed base. Identifies key stakeholders in customer’s organization & actively communicates & networks with key people. • Identifies and analyzes proactively customer’s needs and translates customer needs into solution or service requirements, technical specifications and commercial proposals. • Brings relevant experts to sales project to ensure technically and commercially successful solution creation. In this the Solution Consultant involves relevant parties from Nokia (Services SW or CN) or Alliances into a co-selling mode where the service or solution offered to customer maximally leverages Nokia's or 3rd parties' IPR. • Drives definition and/or creation of customer specific services and solutions with Solutions Engineers and Architects. Actively innovates new services that can be built on top of Nokia's SW products. • Interacts to global Solution Portfolio development for repeatability and actively collaborates with SW Solution Managers for productization of customer requirements into the software. • Sets up solution / service delivery project, participated in the project as a key contributor, carries customer satisfaction and project profitability responsibility through the project. Identifies add-on sales leads with Project Manager
Requirements
- You will be an experienced individual with documented experience with consulting and solution selling within the IT industry or Wireless industry. - You will also be an acknowledged subject matter expert in one (or more) of the following areas: Value Added Services or OSS A deep understanding of the systems and solutions required to deliver telco services and to provision, activate and charge for the service or of the OSS systems and solutions within a telco. - A proven ability to craft customer specific and winning solutions including system integration and a range of products from Nokia and from 3rd parties. - You are likely to have experience either in an IT consulting company, a Network vendor or with an operator having service business experience. Network Planning and Optimization - You will have at least 4 years of field planning/optimization experience with 2 years of management experience leading major projects. - You should have a detailed knowledge of the Nokia tool or similar and processes used in replacement/Turnkey projects. - You must be able demonstrate an excellent knowledge of GSM/EDGE and 3G technologies and be able to shape and manage the technical requirements of customer while delivering internal competence transfer programs. - You will be highly independent and self-directed person who develops plans and measures effectiveness, Assesses customer relationships and service levels and can develop and implement complex and innovative concepts. - You will be a graduate with a relevant qualification and will probably have 5 - 10 years experience in the IT or Telco industries or similar experience. - You must be fluent in English. Preferably also several of the following languages: Arabic, Italian, Spanish French. IT, SI, consultancy and telecomm background. You must have: - Strong leadership skills - Business management skills, able to take responsibility for a revenue figure and gross margin - Good communication skills - Good influencing skills - A structured approach to problem solving.
