• Maintains database by identifying and solving database requirements;
• Installation and maintenance of systems and services, supporting users;
• Maintains database results by setting and enforcing standards and controls;
• Recommends solutions by defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, database security, data back-up, and recovery specifications;
• Installs revised or new systems by proposing specifications; coordinating installation requirements;
• Maintains database performance by calculating optimum values for database parameters;
• implementing new releases; completing maintenance requirements; evaluating computer operating systems and hardware products;
• Provides information by answering questions and requests;
• Provide technical support for issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware;
• Standard Benchmark preparation in order to comparing different servers.
Requirements
• At least B.S in Computer Hard Ware Engineering or Electrical Engineering;
• Extensive knowledge of and well experienced in server Hard wares (including: Lenovo, Super Micro, HP, IBM, etc.);
• High level expertise of test strategies and stress performance and different operating systems’ mastery (Linux, Microsoft, BSD, Unix, etc.);
• Expert in server configuration;
• Excellent knowledge of Data Warehouse, Server Security and Hardening;
• Excellent knowledge of Always-On technology, Replication;
• Familiar with Data warehouse design and BI fundamentals;
• Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills;
• Excellent organizational and documentation skills;
• Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team;
• Create prototypes from paper mockups to functions prototypes;
