Senior Video Editor

Job Description

The Senior (Producer) Editor will be a key member of the Nexensu content team. They will report to the manager, post-production, and work alongside producers, videographers, and video hosts to create highly branded content.

The objectives:

• Edit video stories that are compelling, and engaging and speak to our target audience.
• Make complex creative and editorial decisions in collaboration with key stakeholders.
• Work with producers and our social media team to create engaging social video content.
• Work alongside producers and the manager, post-production to develop and implement new video editing and graphic styles and new formats for our video content.
• Anticipate and troubleshoot technical issues that may arise.
• Provide both technical and interpersonal guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
• Meet regularly with the production team as a representative of the post process and offer expert feedback on footage received from the field.
• Collaborate with video team members in the creative planning, scripting, and pre-production of upcoming projects.
• Conceptualize and execute new video formats.
• Conceptualize and write graphic copy and voice-over.
• Drive projects through the post-production pipeline whilst maintaining both speed and quality.
• Support the manager, post-production to continuously improve and implement new post-production processes.
• Conceptualize and gather assets as required.
